Adult Sailing Programs

Adult Learn To Sail Classes [Reg. Early March 2024]

​If you’ve ever wanted to sail, now you can learn at
Horseshoe Harbor Yacht Club. Our course will teach you
the basics of sailing, terminology, boat rigging, points
of sail, sail trim, rules of navigation and safety at sea.
 
​Our six-week course is taught by trained ASA instructors.
We will offer you the skills and give you the confidence
to handle a sailboat in local waters. Club Membership is
NOT required.

Day Sailors

​For those members who have qualified to use the Day Boats the online registration system is ready to reserve a boat.  Remember you can only sign up two days in advance.  The rules for the boats are provided in our publications for the day boats.

Ideal 18s

​For the more competitive members who have qualified to use the Ideal 18 racing boats the online registration system is ready to reserve a boat. These boats require a little more care than the Day Boats.  Boat Schedule
Women's Tuesday Night Sail-Up

 

​​Our Women's Tuesday Night Sailing has become quite popular.  Improve your sailing skills and make new friends while enjoying a fun-filled evening!
 
Please meet dockside on Tuesday evenings at 6:00.
Schedule continues through Labor Day weather
permitting. Sailboat not required. Bring a lifejacket and
