2025 Junior Sailing Lessons Summer Program

Dear families – applications (see attached) are now being accepted for Horseshoe Harbor’s Summer Junior Sailing Program.  We do hope your Junior Sailor (ages 9 through 15) will come and sail with us this summer. Feel free to pass the word to family, neighbors and friends – sailing is a great way to spend the summer, and you do not need to own a boat or to be a member of HHYC to participate!

Applications are accepted ONLY via email submission of the attached Adobe pdf Digital Form, as the data from the digital form uploads into our Junior Sailing database without needing to be retyped/entered.  When you open the attached digital Registration Form, please be sure it opens in Adobe pdf, not in your browser (you may have to check your settings to ensure that Adobe Acrobat is set as your default program for pdf’s).  If the form opens in your browser, the data will not transmit properly.  Hand-written documents, photographs of completed documents, or mailed physical documents cannot be processed.

Once you have filled in all the blanks below, you should be able to hit the ‘Submit Form’ button in the upper right corner but, failing that, simply save the completed form to your hard-drive, create an email to jrsail@horseshoeharbor.org, attach the completed form and hit SEND.  (Should you have problems completing the form, please google how to complete a digital Adobe pdf form).

As many of you know, all positions at HHYC are manned by volunteers.  Both Sara Levin (my Co-Chair) and myself (Debbie Norris) work at ‘day jobs’, so please be patient if occasionally we are slow to respond to an email.  If your junior sailor is signing up for requesting 4-, 5- or 6-weeks, you are almost certainly guaranteed a spot (assuming your child is sailing an Opti); 2-week requests will be filled on an as-available basis, as soon as requests for the longer sessions have all been accommodated.
